Led by Horses Across Somerset
Katy is from Bristol and trained at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama. Recent theatre work includes the Christmas rep season at Cheltenham Everyman of The Owl and the Pussycat and Under The Greenwood Tree (Hammerpuzzle), the UK tour of A Pure Woman (Dorchester Arts/Poonamallee), and Father Christmas (Lyric Hammersmith/Pins&Needles). On television, Katy played Esther Adams in BBC 1’s daytime drama, The Indian Doctor. For BBC Radio 4, Katy has recorded numerous episodes of Poetry Please and several radio dramas – most recently Bayeux: Embroidering the Truth. Katy has recorded over 100 audiobooks, was a featured artist on Audible UK’s Narrator’s Greatest Hits and was nominated for an Audie Award in 2019 for her work on ‘The Tuscan Child’.
Katy first worked in Somerset with Wassail Theatre on ‘The Somerset Charabanc’ in 2016, which was a great introduction to the county, travelling around the Somerset Levels on a charabanc being led by horses! She then toured the pubs of the county with Wassail’s ‘Rex The King’ in 2018. Katy is delighted to be part of this Somerset Panto – and hopes it shines a light on some of the great venues in the county, during this really difficult time for theatres everywhere.
